I fell in love with doing hair before I even knew it could become a career. As a little girl, while the other children were outside playing, I was cutting and styling my dolls’ hair, twisting it and even sewing tracks onto their heads. By my fifth-grade graduation, I was already styling my own hair and doing hair for my friends. Whenever I saw a hairstyle I liked, I would study how it was created, go home and recreate it. Although my parents imagined a different career for me, I eventually realized that hairstyling was my gift and my calling. I attended cosmetology school in Massachusetts, graduated and continued building the career I had loved since childhood. More than 20 years later, I still feel excited about every transformation. When I’m doing hair, I focus on how beautiful and confident my client will feel when she sees the finished look. My chair is also a place where my clients can relax, laugh, talk and feel heard. Hair Queen’s House of Beauty was created from my lifelong passion for beautiful hair, genuine connections and helping every woman leave feeling like the best version of herself. Located in Concord, North Carolina, I specialize in premium, natural-looking sew-ins, hair extensions, silk presses, smoothing treatments and bridal hairstyling.
